Cooking with April Plantillas/ Para Empanadas


Recipe Ingredients Below Hey Divas okay so this is my first cooking video I have had many request to do a cooking tutorial so I finally got around to making one so this is my favorite spanish dish well one of my favorite Spanish Dishes. Very easy to make and great for parties, large gatherings etc 1. Pack of Goya or other brand of Plantillas/ Para Empanadas disc (12 per pack) 2. Boneless chicken breast or ground beef ( or whatever filling you want to put inside) 3. Clean your meat (chicken) 4. If making chicken or steak make sure to cut into small portions. 4 5. Season w/ Sazon liquido/ Sazon, Adobo, season salt, garlic powder (or whatever seasonings you prefer most) 6. let meat you choose marinate for like 30 minutes in seasoning 7. For chicken use only a small amount of oil in frying pan to cook chicken (do not fry chicken do not coat chicken w/ flour) cook chicken to a nice meduim whitish color when middle is cooked chicken should cook for about 8-10 minutes on low -medium heat 8. While chicken is cooking prepare your Disc by using a rolling pin to flaten them out 9. Once chicken/ or meat of your choise is done let cool & then prepare your Disc with them 10. Lay Cheese of your choice onto disc & then layer your meat of choice on top of cheese (do not put to o much meat or your Disc will not close properly) 11. Fold disc in half over fillings. W/ a fork press sides of Disc together leaving forks marks into Disc dough ( it is helpful to have a cup of warm water to dip

How to make Korean style seasoned raw beef. The full recipe is on my website: www.maangchi.com Ingredients (for 4-6 servings): 380 grams (18 OZ) filet minon (tenderloin), Korean pear, soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, garlic, black ground pepper, salt, pine nuts, roasted sesame seeds, endive (or lettuce). Steak Preparation: 1. Rinse filet minon under a little cold running water and dry with paper towel. 2. Wrap it in a cotton cloth and keep it in the freezer for 1 hour. 3. In a bowl, add 2 cups of water and 1 tbs sugar. Stir it well. 4. Peel a Korean pear and cut it into thin matchsticks (about 3-4 cups). 5. Soak the pear strips in the bowl for 5 minutes. Then drain and set aside Make sauce: 1. Finely mince a dozen cloves of garlic. Put into a mixing bowl with 1½ tbs soy sauce, 1½ tbs honey (or 2 tbs brown sugar), 1/4 ts salt, 2 tbs sesame oil, and a pinch of ground black pepper. Mix well. Put it together: 1. Take the beef out of the freezer. Cut it into thin matchsticks, and mix with the seasoning sauce *tip: you can add green lettuce on pear strips 2. Sprinkle some roasted sesame seeds and pine nuts over top before serving. How to serve: You could use as an appetizer, a side dish with alcohol, or a main dish for a party.
